Types of Braces We Offer and Your First Visit
We offer a wide variety of treatment options including traditional appliances, ceramic braces, lingual braces and the Invisalign system. The innovative metal braces we use are comfortable and efficient. Many patients enjoy selecting the color of the bands that will be placed on their metal braces and these colored bands can be easily changed at each appointment.
The ceramic braces we use are made of a clear material. These braces move teeth efficiently and are comfortable to wear. Lingual braces are attached to the backs of the teeth, making them less visible than traditional braces. Lingual braces are not for everyone as they do not solve all orthodontic problems and they can prolong the treatment time.
The Invisalign treatment we offer consists of a series of translucent aligners which are changed every two weeks or so. Each aligner is individually made with precision to progressively shift teeth into place. There are no wires and brackets used with the Invisalign system.
Our doctors will determine which treatment solution is best suited for you at your complimentary consultation. For both children and adults, we will provide a complete clinical diagnosis and a written summary of the findings along with a detailed treatment plan which outlines the proposed treatment, goals and estimated costs.
Your first visit will consist of an examination, photographs, panoramic x-ray and a discussion about what treatment options are available to you. We ask that you download the patient forms available on our website, print them out and bring them with you to your first appointment as this will save you time.
We plan on using this blog to share office news and information with you. We also will be posting many interesting articles and other information related to the exciting world of orthodontics here on our blog. We welcome feedback and encourage questions and comments. Do check in here regularly to see what's new. Thank you for taking the time to visit our blog. Remember to keep on smiling because your smile is your greatest asset!
Increasing Number of Adults Choosing Stamford CT Hidden Braces aka Incognito
Even though traditional metal braces have advanced from their “metal mouth” beginnings, working professionals may wish to wear braces which are not so noticeable. Many teens wear metal braces which today are smaller, more comfortable and more attractive – adults however are less likely to embrace these braces.
We are proud to offer hidden braces aka Incognito to our patients here at Goldman Orthodontics. An increasing number of working professionals are choosing hidden braces due to the fact that these braces are customized to each patient and placed on the backside of the teeth so that they are not visible. Incognito braces are a great option for adults who wish to have their teeth straightened without others knowing about it.
Our Stamford CT hidden braces are created using state-of-the-art technology and are 100% customized to each patient. If you choose to wear Incognito braces you will receive efficient and effective tooth movement and wonderful aesthetics. If you can be treated with traditional braces you are a good candidate for hidden braces. And, if you feel you would be self-conscious wearing traditional braces, hidden braces aka Incognito are probably a good choice for you. Perhaps you meet with clients or customers regularly and even make presentations often. If you are wearing hidden braces, no one will know that you are straightening your teeth unless of course you wish to tell them.
Perhaps you are not completely happy with your smile and have put off visiting an orthodontist because you did not want to wear braces which show. Give our office a call so that we can set up an appointment for you wherein our doctors can examine your teeth to determine if are a candidate for our Stamford CT hidden braces aka Incognito. You will not have a shiny, metal smile with hidden braces so you can maintain your confidence and act naturally. Whether you have to put on a presentation, go to a job interview or have a conversation with someone you have just met, these braces can make a true difference.
